Wilma Z. Rumbaugh, 96, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Geary Community Hospital. A funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2021, at the Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Smith officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral service time. The burial will take place immediately following the funeral at Highland Cemetery. Wilma was born February 15, 1925 the daughter of Reverend H. J and Mabel (Alderson) Rothfuss.
Wilma was a homemaker. In early years, she assisted her husband Dale with a grocery store they co-owned and operated in Miltonvale, KS. She was a member of the Junction City Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She was known to make excellent homemade noodles and cinnamon rolls.
She married Dale E. Rumbaugh September 27, 1950. He passed away June 26, 2019.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Rumbaugh and his wife Judy of Yukon, OK, Jerry Rumbaugh and his wife Sherol of Junction City, KS and Terry Rumbaugh of Junction City, KS; three brothers, Ray Rothfuss of Mitchell, S.D., Paul Rothfuss of Topeka, KS and Darrell Rothfuss of Junction City, KS; nine grandchildren, Jana Boone, Mark Rumbaugh, Crystal Rumbaugh, Paige Huntington, Megan Lackey, Morgan Todd, Jason Rumbaugh, Justin Rumbaugh and Josh Rumbaugh; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale; two brothers, Richard and Don Rothfuss.
