Wanda King-Foster, a beloved caretaker, devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. Born on October 6, 1957, Wanda’s life was a testament to love, compassion, and joyful spirit, all qualities that she shared generously with everyone fortunate enough to know her.

As a caretaker for elderly people, Wanda dedicated years to providing loving and attentive care in the comfort of their homes. Her commitment went beyond duty—it was a labor of love, marked by kindness and unwavering patience. To the families she served, she was more than a caretaker; she was a cherished companion and guardian of dignity.

Wanda was a woman of vibrant personality and warmth. She carried a great sense of humor that brightened any room, delighting those around her with laughter and light-heartedness. A fabulous cook, Wanda delighted family and friends with meals prepared with love and skill, and she was known for maintaining a clean and welcoming home. Her soft heart made her a friend to all, and she was known for being easy to talk to, always making time to listen and offering thoughtful advice to those in need.

One of Wanda’s greatest joys was her family. She was the proud and number one fan of her son Henry King’s music. She knew every melody and lyric by heart and could often be heard singing along, sharing in his passion with spirited support. Wanda adored all nine of her grandchildren, showering them with love and creating lasting memories filled with laughter and affection.

Surviving Wanda is her devoted husband, Charles Foster of Junction City, Kansas, who stood by her side through life’s journey. She is lovingly remembered by her children, son Henry King and his wife Ashlee of Ogden, Kansas, and daughter Kevia King of Manhattan, Kansas. Wanda’s family circle also includes her stepson Anthony Camphor, stepson Charles Foster Jr., stepdaughter Pam Camphor, and stepdaughter Salina Foster, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Wanda’s life was shaped by those who came before her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son Shamario King, who passed in 2014, and several brothers and sisters. Their memories remain treasured, woven into the fabric of her story and cherished by the family she leaves behind.
