Tony F. Lovett
Tony F. Lovett, 59, of Junction City, died Mar. 15, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. Tony was born Oct. 2, 1955 in Opelousas, Louisiana, the son of Collos & Rosalie (Gill) Lovett. Tony attended school in Junction City and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. After his discharge from the Army, Tony worked for many years as a welder at the Long Beach Ship-Yard in Long Beach, CA. He later worked as a welder for WACO in Junction City.
Tony married Patricia Drisdale on Feb. 8, 1991 in Long Beach, CA. She survives. Other survivors include: a daughter, Sherice Lovett, Los Angeles, CA; 2 step-daughters, Felicia Breland and husband Victor, Hayward, CA, and Dorian Clayton, Richmond, CA; a brother, Dionisio Lovett and his wife Deborah, Savannah, GA; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial visitation, with the family greeting friends, will be Friday, March 20, 2015, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, Junction City.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington, Junction City, KS 66441.
