Toni April Dawson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on December 15, 1966, Toni touched countless lives with her warmth, honesty, and deep caring for those fortunate enough to know her.

Toni was the cherished wife of Ulysses Dawson. Their love story began in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where they married on October 30, 1993. Together, they embarked on many adventures, including a memorable chapter living in Germany during Ulysses’s military service in the United States Army. Through every move and each new beginning, Toni’s devotion and adaptability laid a strong foundation for her family.

She was a proud and loving mother to her sons: Tyler A. Mitchell, Eric A. Mitchell, and Larry A. Dawson. Her joy only grew with the arrival of her grandson, Theodore N. Dawson, whom she adored fiercely. Toni’s pride in her family was one of her greatest accomplishments, and she treasured the close bonds she maintained with each of them.

Toni was the beloved daughter of the late Lillian Ridgeway and Charles L. Pierce III, whose memory she kept alive through her acts of kindness and unconditional love. She also leaves behind her brothers, Andrew Ford, Edward Ford, Howard Ford, and Charles L. Pierce IV, as well as her devoted uncles, Charles H. Ridgeway and Lee Ridgeway.

Her professional life was marked by dedication and service. For over twenty years, Toni served as a property manager and associate for Green Park Apartments in Junction City, Kansas. She was widely respected by her tenants, who often expressed how much they missed her presence. As a professional, she was not just a manager, but someone who genuinely cared for the well-being of those she served. In this role, Toni exemplified compassion and leadership, leaving a meaningful mark on her community.

Toni valued education, having attained her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Upper Iowa University. Her academic achievements reflected her commitment to improving herself and her capacity to help others.

Creativity and style were defining aspects of Toni’s personality. She was an avid crafter, always practicing and sharing her creative pursuits. A true fashionista, Toni took pride in her elegant style, loved to shop, and was always delighted by antiquing and discovering vintage decor. Her appreciation for beauty and design was evident in every detail of her life.

Toni’s family traditions remain cherished memories for those she leaves behind. Every Christmas morning, she ensured everyone wore matching pajama sets, infusing the holiday with joy and togetherness. She celebrated every holiday and milestone, making memories at sporting and school events alongside her husband and sons. These moments, filled with love and laughter, will forever be held in the hearts of her family.

Those who knew Toni remember her as a perceptive and honest person, always looking for the best in everyone. Her loving nature led her to care deeply for others—and if you were in her life, you were certain to feel her generous spirit and unwavering support. Toni took pride in helping others, both within her family and through her work, always going out of her way to lend a hand or offer comfort when needed.

Toni April Dawson’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and devotion. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she brightened. The impression she made through her compassion, strength, and vibrant spirit endures, and her memory will forever be cherished.
