With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tanya Scott, who left this world peacefully at home on hospice on July 19, 2026, surrounded by love.

Tanya lived a life defined by love, family, and the quiet beauty of a welcoming home. While some find their calling in the bustling world, Tanya found hers in the hearts of her children and grandchildren. To her, there was no greater achievement or joy than her family. They were truly her entire world.

Her love did not stop at her own front door. To so many, Tanya was not just a mother. She was everyone's second mom. Her home, her heart, and her arms were always open to anyone who needed a little extra love, guidance, or a place to belong. She had an incredible gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for.

Tanya adored cats and never met one she did not love. Her playlists could seamlessly go from belting out Aerosmith classics to singing along with Taylor Swift, proving that great music knows no generation. She had a fun spirit, a compassionate heart, and a dependable nature that made others feel safe simply by being around her.

Above all else, Tanya was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love was unwavering, unconditional, and fierce. Her legacy is not written in accolades, but in the lives of the family she nurtured, the comfort she provided, and the unconditional love she gave every single day. Her kindness, compassion, and selflessness will continue to live on in everyone she touched.

Tanya is lovingly survived by her lifelong partner, Brian Lawrence, and her children: Matt, his wife Leanne, and their daughter Ila Lawrence; Makenna Smith, and her children Easton and Rooke Pence; and Shaylyn, her husband Christopher Clark, and their sons Kaden Lee and Ryder Clark. She is also survived by her beloved brother, Bobby Lee, along with many extended family members, dear friends, and countless people who were fortunate enough to call her their second mom.

Her brother, Bobby, shares a sentiment held by many: "I'll miss our phone conversations every day, and that she is very loved. Rest in peace, sis."

While our hearts are broken by her absence, we find comfort knowing she is finally at peace. Tanya's legacy is one of love, generosity, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
