Shawn Beebe

On Wednesday, July 22, 2026 around 2:00pm Shawn Beebe-Carter was called to join our mother in heaven. He passed away in his home in Junction City, Kansas where he was pronounced dead.

Shawn was born in Vancouver, Washington on July 24, 1983. He grew up in Washington state for most of his childhood.

Shawn later moved to Kansas where he went to school in Junction City, Kansas. He had a few great careers in his life such as the United States Navy and being a licensed electrician. However, he always considered his fishing career to be his serenity.

Shawn had a lot of things in life that he loved, such as family, friends, his truck, art, and building things, but his true passion was his music.

Shawn had such a beautiful gypsy soul. He never really liked to stay in one place, as he was more of one for adventure. He touched the lives and hearts of so many people. He always lived by his favorite saying F.A.F.O (if you know you know), but would also take the shirt off his back for those he cared about. Even though he left before he could accomplish everything, he was always most proud of being a father.

Shawn has joined his father Rob Carter and mother Gail Beebe-Welsh, as well as his grandparents Charles and Louise Beebe in heaven.

Shawn is lovingly remembered and missed by his son Ronan, girlfriend Poppy Birge, siblings, Anthony (Amanda) Hurst, Nathan Hurst, and Samantha Hurst-Ott; grandparents Chuck and Sherry Carter; his aunt Lori; and his nieces and nephews, Gabriel Hurst, Danner Somrak, Angelina Hurst, and Kieson Ott. Shawn also had other special people in his life that will carry on his legacy, including, Drew Wolfe, Tyler Castano, "Danger", Keeton Ott and many others.

We will all remember him as the amazing father, son, brother, soul mate, friend and, personal favorite, our hero.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2, 2026 from 2-6pm at Milford State Park located at 3612 State Park Rd, Milford, Kansas. 

Memorial contributions can be made to the family for assistance funeral expenses.
