Rosie Sader, 69, passed away in the comfortable surroundings of her home on November 8, 2011. Visitation will be held Friday, November 11 from 6-8 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street in Junction City, KS. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, at 10a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 630 S. Eisenhower Drive. Pastor Martin Schlossman will officiate. Burial will be at the Lewis Cemetery in Ramona, KS. Memorials may be made to the Geary Community Hospice in care of the Geary Community Health Care Foundation, P.O. Box 3015, Junction City, KS 66441.
Rosie was born in Salina, KS at St. John's Hospital on July 1, 1942 to James Lewis and Rosie Mae McFall. She married James L. Sader on August 27, 1960 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Salina, KS. Shortly thereafter they moved to Junction City where they spent 51 happy years together. In January of 2010, she retired after 32 years in the transportation department at Fort Riley, KS.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1954 and her father in 1959. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jim Sader; her son Terry, his wife Angela, their daughters Caitlin and Sydney; her daughter Denise, her husband Barrie Loeb, their daughters Kristen and Lindsey; her sister Mary Sue Base and her husband Ron; her brother Jim McFall and his wife Betty; and her brother Bill McFall and his wife Sharon.
