Regina T. Miller, age 65, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in Topeka, Kansas. Her wish, like that of her eldest son, was to be cremated. The family will be receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Johnson and Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home.
Born on February 7, 1959, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Regina was the daughter of Wilton and Ramona (Apgar) Badgett. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1977 and went on to work as a property and real estate manager in Colorado Springs and Denver, Colorado.
On June 15, 2002, she married James "Jim" Miller in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Regina had many passions including art, crafts, creating memories, and most importantly, her family. Known for her ever-smiling face, she was adored by friends and family alike.
Regina is survived by her husband Jim of Rocky Ford, Colorado; two sons, Joseph E. Thurn of Junction City, Kansas, and Andrew R. Thurn of Wilmington, Delaware; one step-daughter, Jennifer Harmon of Rocky Ford, Colorado; one sister, Francine Zedalis of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; and four grandchildren: Aidyn Thurn, Elijah Thurn, Mathias Harmon, and Lovella Harmon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Christopher J. Thurn, her sister Lisa-Dawn and brother Wilton Badgett, Jr.
