Phillip James Foust, fondly known as Phil, was born on November 9, 1935, in Cedar Vale, Kansas. He passed away on October 15, 2025, in Junction City, Kansas. 

Phil enjoyed a distinguished 34-year career in the banking industry, showcasing his dedication and expertise in finance. His educational background includes graduating from the School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, an accomplishment that laid the foundation for his professional journey.

Phil's life was enriched by his service in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served as a trombonist for the Air Force band. While stationed in Savannah, Georgia, he had the honor of performing with the Georgia Symphony Orchestra, a testament to his musical talent and passion.

On May 29, 1955, Phil married Patricia Oltjen in Cedar Vale, Kansas. Together, they shared a life of companionship and love until her passing on February 5, 2023. Phil's legacy continues through his surviving family members. He is survived by his son, Graham (Denise) Foust of Junction City, Kansas; his daughter, Gretchen Foust and her partner, Deb McWilliams of Midlothian, Texas; grandchildren Teiah, Whitney, and Rocco; great-grandchildren Langdon, Tyren, Kiara, Arya, and Jesse; and his sister, Betty Jellison.

Phil was also preceded in death by his son Vincent Foust and granddaughter Jessie Foust.

Phillip James Foust will be remembered for his contributions to his community, his family, and the many lives he touched throughout his years. His memory will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
