Patricia A. Hartung

Patricia A. Hartung, 79, of Wamego, Kansas passed away on Saturday December 6, 2025 at Good Shephard Hospice House. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. No visitation is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, Virginia 22116-7023. Johnson and Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation arrangements. 

Patricia was born September 25, 1946, in Junction City, Kansas to Harold and Mabel (Hood) Kane. She graduated from Junction City High School in 1964. Patricia married Danny L. Hartung on July 23, 1967. She worked for 31 years as a Department of Army civilian for several different organizations on Ft. Riley, Kansas. Retiring from Civil Service on January 3, 2004 from the Department of Army's Civilian Human Resources Agency where she served as a Human Resources Specialist. 

She is survived by her two sons Gary Hartung and Doug (Tara) Hartung all of Manhattan, Kansas; three grandchildren; Sacha Hartung, Jacob Hartung, and Emily Hartung. Brother Harold "Gene" Kane of Arizona and two sisters; Sharon Booker of Wichita, Kansas and Kristin Rhyne of Junction City, Kansas. 

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Melvin and Stephen Kane.
