MSG (RET) Raymond J. Kube, 85, of Milford, KS, passed away on January 7, 2021. Johnson Funeral Home of Junction City is assisting the family with arrangements.

Raymond was born on January 6, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Casey and Genevieve (Gardner). He enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 17 and served honorably for over 23 years and retired as a Master Sergeant. He was stationed in many places both domestic and abroad. While stationed overseas, he met Yon Kim. They married in Seoul, Korea, in April of 1970. During his time in service he received many awards and decorations that include, but are not limited to: the national Defense Service Medal w/ One Oak Leaf Cluster, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Occupational Medal (Germany), Good Conduct Medal (Fifth Award), Meritorious Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/ Four Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal (Two Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation Medal (One Oak Leaf Cluster), Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/ Palm, and Sharpshooter (M-14 Rifle).
Raymond had many interests but above all, he was a patriot, loving husband, caring father, and adoring grandfather and great-grandfather.
Raymond is survived by his loving family: wife, Yon Kube of Milford, KS; three sons Mike Kube of TX, Daniel Kube of AL, and Robert Kube of TX; one brother Tom Kube; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
