Michele Lee Kile, a shining light in the lives of her family and friends, passed away on March 9, 2026, in Topeka, Kansas. Born on August 8, 1954, in Los Angeles, California, Michele touched the hearts of many with her sassy spirit, loving nature, and beautiful smile.
Michele was devotedly married to Kenneth K. Kile since their wedding on September 21, 1974, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they created a loving home filled with laughter and joy. As a mother, she took immense pride in her role, supporting and cheering on her children, Jennifer, Brandy, and Joshua, as well as her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Michele’s proudest accomplishments revolved around her family, as she embraced the joys of motherhood, grandmotherhood, and great-grandmotherhood with an unwavering love and commitment.
Beyond her family, Michele was known for her caring and compassionate personality, always ready to make others laugh and to share in the joy of life's simple pleasures. She loved to read, immerse herself in puzzles, and had a special fondness for flowers. Her great sense of humor left lasting memories with those who were fortunate to know her. Michele cherished spending time with her family and friends, creating countless fun memories that will live on in their hearts.
She is survived by her beloved husband Kenneth, her son Joshua, her daughter Brandy, her five grandchildren, her two great-grandchildren, her brother Richard Ronning, and her sister Deborah Paltian. Leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter, Michele will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in her life.
Michele is preceded in death by her parents Richard L. and Gloria J. Ronning, her daughter Jennifer L. Kile-Kamien, and her brother Steven Ronning. Her memory will forever be cherished, and she will remain in the hearts of her family and friends as a beacon of love, laughter, and resilience.
Cremation has occurred and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
