Funeral services for Maureen Miller,93, of Junction City, will be 10 a.m.,Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline with Rev. Kenton Van officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. No visitation is planned. Maureen passed away Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Valley View Senior Life Center. Maureen was born July 9, 1916 in Lost Springs, KS the daughter of William J. and Florence (Mastin) Haire. She graduated White City High School in 1934 and became a resident of Junction City in 1936. She attended Beauty School became a beautician. She owned and operated MiLady's Beauty shop for over 50 years retiring in 1992. She married Richard D. Miller July 31, 1946 in Las Vegas, NV. He preceded her in death March 30, 1994.
Maureen was a 50 years member of Eastern Star, Eagles Aux #830, American Legion Aux., Modern Woodmen, and First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son,Gary and wife Sheila Grover of Lancaster, CA, daughters in law,Jan Miller Cummings GA, Janie Klimple of El Campo TX,seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons Donald and Eugene Miller.
