Marsha Sue (Miles) Niccoli

Marsha Sue (Miles) Niccoli passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 77. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be remembered as a giving person whose greatest pride was always her family.

Marsha spent 25 years as an account manager at Brown Strauss Steel Company in the Kansas City area, building a long and dedicated career. Beyond her work, she found joy in the things that made a home and family life warm and welcoming. She loved crafting with all kinds of media, enjoyed cooking, and cared for many plants. She was especially happy when she was spoiling her grandkids, a role she embraced with love and delight.

Her family will remember, too, the happy times shared on trips to Kansas City to visit cousins, along with outings to places like Worlds of Fun. Those memories remain a lasting part of her life’s story and the love she shared with those around her. Marsha and Buck spent many years together and officially married in the mid 1990s and remained together until his passing in the early 2000s.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Nielson, and her daughter, Julie Nielson. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jordan Nielson, Robyn Mohr, and Lilith Nielson, as well as her great-grandsons, Bodan Nielson, Tucker Nielson, and Suede Nielson. In each of their lives, Marsha leaves the steady imprint of a mother and grandmother whose care, generosity, and love were deeply felt.

Marsha was preceded in death by her sister, Nasey Darlene Haney, and by her brothers, Bill Haney and Edgar Haney.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Cremation has taken place in the care of Johnson & Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home. A future Celebration of Life and burial will take place in the Kansas City, Missouri area at a time to be announced.
