Maria E. Hearlson

Maria E. Hearlson 68, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Geary Community Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.

Maria was born on September 17, 1952, in Chihuahua, Mexico. She was the daughter of Ruben and Rosa (Guerra) Chavira.

Maria was a longtime resident of Junction City. She enjoyed spending time with family and the many friends she made during her years here. If you were lucky enough to meet her, you know she was an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind soul.

Maria is survived by one son, Robert Hearlson Jr (Michaela) of Mulvane, KS, one daughter, Carey Jones of Junction City, KS; three grandchildren, Marcus Jones Jr of Junction City, KS, Alaza' Jones of Junction City, KS, Daniel Hearlson of Mulvane, KS; two great grandchildren, Le'Laya Miller of Junction City, KS and Cortez Jones of Junction City, KS; mother, Maria Ruiz Chavira of El Paso TX, two brothers, Lupe Chavira of Juarez, MX, Ruben Chavira Jr of El Paso, TX; three sisters, Lydia Ochoa of Midland, TX, Rosa Winter of Sioux Falls, SD and Martha Espino (Enrique) of El Paso, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father Ruben Chavira Sr.
