Mackenzie Ann Higgs

Mackenzie Ann (Willey) Higgs, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026 at the age of 37.

Mackenzie was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She dedicated herself to helping others in both her personal and professional life in the social work field. She found joy in her children, and her friendships. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her Husband, Shamekin Higgs, her children Jaxon Lytle and Emma Smith, her parents LesLee (Curtis) Blount, and Daniel (Stacey) Willey, her sister, Sara (Joey) Valenciano and niece, Hazel and nephew, Bo. Her cousins Zachary and Nicholas Burgoon and Aunt Sue Burgoon. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Kenneth and Jacqueline (Jackie) Burgoon and her uncle William (Bill) Burgoon.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her children Emma and Jaxon, in care of LesLee Blount. The family will be having a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
