Born on June 27, 2016, Lucas was an embodiment of joy and compassion, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. Outgoing and full of life, he never met a stranger, his big heart and infectious laughter drawing people into his warm embrace.

Lucas was not just an exceptional child; he was a loving brother to his five siblings. He shared a unique bond with his brothers Andrew and Titus, along with his sisters Natalie, Hannah, and Alice. Lucas never missed an opportunity to hold his baby sister Alice. Together, they created a world filled with laughter and love, sharing countless moments that will forever be cherished.

His faith was central to his life. Lucas was very active with the Junction City Baptist Church, where his love for Jesus shone brightly. He approached every day with an unwavering joy, encouraging friends and family alike with his sweet spirit and kind-hearted nature. He came to know Christ as his Saviour in September 2020. He loved to tell his story and sing about God's goodness and amazing grace.

An enthusiastic participant in flag football, Lucas found joy in the excitement of the game and the camaraderie it brought. His love for football didn't stop there, he enjoyed every sport he played, whether it was baseball, basketball, soccer, or pickleball. His passion for games of all kinds added another layer to his playful personality, where each adventure was met with boundless enthusiasm and unyielding curiosity. He loved to build things as it allowed his imagination and creativity to flourish. He also loved to be outside playing in water or fishing.

Lucas leaves behind his loving parents, Matthew and Amanda Montgomery, whose hearts are forever touched by their remarkable son. He will be dearly missed not only by his parents and siblings but also by his maternal grandparents, Bruce and Kathy Meitzler, and his eight cousins, each of whom will keep his memory alive in their own special ways.
