Karan Kathleen Jones

Karan Kathleen Jones, born on May 8, 1958, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026. She will be remembered as a deeply caring and supportive woman, whose spirited personality and devotion to her loved ones left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Karan's life was a testament to the power of love and family. The story of how she met her husband, Mark Jones, remains a cherished memory: their encounter while working together blossomed into an immediate connection, love at first sight for Karan. They married on October 4, 2005, and their bond created a foundation of warmth and unwavering partnership. Karan was Mark's everything. 

Dedicated as a loving mother and grandmother, Karan’s proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her family. She is survived by her devoted husband Mark Jones; her son John; her daughters Juli, Jessica, and Jackie; and a host of precious grandchildren. Her siblings—sisters Lana Lyons-Coulter and Nancy, and brothers Ronnie Lyons and Harry Lyons—along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, also carrying forward her legacy. Her beloved dog, Meadowlark, was a faithful companion and a testament to the tenderness that defined her nature.

Karan’s love extended beyond just her family. She delighted in hobbies that combined creativity and curiosity. She enjoyed the meticulous crafts of crochet and knitting, embraced the pursuit of genealogy, and cherished the adventures found in road trips. A special joy was spending time on the houseboat that Mark lovingly built for her, a place of peace and happiness that reflected her spirit.

Though her mother, Rose Lyons, has passed before her, Karan’s memory endures in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. Her caring presence, supportive nature, and fiery personality will forever be remembered and deeply missed.

Karan Kathleen Jones lived a rich and full life defined by love, family, and a zest for life. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion and joyful memories that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

Cremation has taken place in the care of Johnson & Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home.
