Jerry J. Kratzer

Jerry J. Kratzer, 73, of Dwight, Kansas passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Cremation will take place. A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2025 at his daughter Brenda's home.

Jerry was born July 24, 1951, in Allentown, Pennsylvania the son of Franklin and Rachel (Ruppert) Kratzer.

Jerry owned and operated his own trucking company for many years. He was part of the Caterpillar Million Miler Club and put 2.6 million miles on his Peterbilt. His first truck was a 1979 Marmon cabover truck. Over the years, Jerry was well known for his distinctive truck and is featured in a book. He was a member of the Pike Township Sportsman's Association in Pennsylvania. He enjoyed collecting guns. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. 

Jerry enjoyed playing the guitar and was proud of his early sixties custom made hollow body Gibson electric guitar. 

On August 14, 1971, he married Diane Freese in Topton, Pennsylvania. She passed away March 19, 2022.

Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Kratzer and his wife Mary of Dwight, Kanas; one daughter, Brenda A. Dulaney and husband Jonathan of Junction City, Kansas; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Marion Bauer of Maryland.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; wife Diane; one brother, Francis Kratzer; two sisters, Lily Boger and Grace Reinert.
