Jamie D'unite Cooper

Jamie D'unite Cooper, born on September 7, 1990, in El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away on August 10, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas. He left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a vibrant spirit that touched the lives of many around him.

A visitation for Jamie will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Second Missionary Baptist Church in Junction City, Kansas, starting at 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a graveside service to follow at Highland Cemetery. 

Jamie was a cherished member of Second Missionary Baptist Church in Junction City, where he actively served on the usher board. Known for his outgoing and loveable nature, he had the remarkable ability to connect with just about anyone he met, making him a favorite among parishioners in his youth. His friendships extended beyond church, touching countless lives, especially those of children. He was affectionately known as the go-to babysitter, and he embraced this role wholeheartedly, showering love and attention on every child in his life, particularly his own.

Throughout his life, Jamie was a passionate athlete, proudly participating in every sport imaginable—from flag football to baseball and track and field. His commitment to sports was a testament to his determination and competitive spirit, and his proudest accomplishments reflected not just his personal achievements, but also his dedication to teamwork and camaraderie.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Ruby Hankins of Junction City, Kansas; his sister, Antonina (Bryan) Dunevant of Houston, Texas; his brothers, Christopher (Rubenyon) Golden of Junction City, Kansas, and Ken (Shunta) Carey of Magnolia, Arkansas; and his sister, Shauntae Allen of Homer, Louisiana. Jamie's legacy also continues through his beloved children, Audriana Neveah-Andraniquea Rock of Havelock, North Carolina, and Kai'Ana Kay Cooper of Junction City, Kansas.

Jamie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mose and Ella Mae Golden; paternal grandparents, Mary Jamerson and Henry Lee Cooper; his father, James Cooper; and his brother, James Cooper Jr.

As we remember Jamie, we celebrate a life filled with joy, laughter, and genuine connections, leaving behind memories that will forever warm the hearts of those who knew him.
