Ha Thi Thatcher, a cherished soul who graced this world with her presence from October 10, 1950, until her departure on October 3, 2025, has left behind a legacy woven with love and intimacy. Born in Vietnam, she journeyed through life as the eldest of ten children, embodying the spirit of resilience and nurturing that marked her formative years.

A private individual, Ha possessed an extraordinary intuition that guided her relationships and decisions. She was passionate in her pursuits, a trait reflected in her love for the written word, as she was an avid reader whose mind roamed freely through the pages of countless stories. Her life was also adorned with a deep appreciation for nature's beauty; specifically, she found joy in the vibrant blooms of pansies, begonias, lilies, and carnations.

Her adventurous spirit was evident in the road trips she embarked on with her family, traversing the diverse landscapes of the United States and exploring the corners of the globe. These experiences enriched her life and provided a treasure trove of memories that she held dear. Yet it was in the warmth of family that Ha’s heart truly resided.

Married to her beloved husband, Timothy N. Thatcher of over 50 years, she nurtured a loving household that included her sons, William R. Thatcher and Timothy R. Thatcher. Her most profound accomplishment, however, lay in the joy her grandchildren brought into her life: D'Vante, April, Dustin, Charles, William, and Gabriel were the radiant lights that illuminated her existence.

In Olathe, Kansas, on that fateful day in October, she was enveloped by the love of her family—a testament to the bonds she forged throughout her remarkable life. Ha Thi Thatcher transcended the ordinary, and though she now rests in eternal peace, her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
