Frederick J. Collier, known affectionately as "Fred," passed away on April 26, 2026, in Junction City, Kansas. Born on May 17, 1969, in Toledo, Ohio, Fred was a devoted family man whose life was deeply intertwined with the happiness and well-being of his loved ones.

Fred's journey began in Toledo, where he was raised by his parents, John and Linda Collier, and cherished fond memories of his grandmother, Julia Matthews, whose legacy he carried with him throughout his life. His commitment to family remained a defining characteristic until the end.

On May 13, 1996, Fred married Carol Hayward in Toledo, Ohio, forging a partnership filled with love, respect, and mutual support. Together, they welcomed three sons into their family: Matthew, Bailey, and Graham Collier. Fred also warmly embraced his step-daughter, Stephanie Hayward, embodying the role of a caring and steadfast father figure.

Fred’s intellectual curiosity extended beyond his family; he was an avid video gamer, finding joy in the worlds and challenges they presented. He appreciated the comforts of home and nurtured a fascination with nature and exploring new ideas, approaches that reflected his thoughtful and inquisitive spirit.

Surviving Frederick are his beloved wife, Carol Collier; his three sons, Matthew, Bailey, and Graham Collier; and his step-daughter, Stephanie Hayward. He is also survived by his sister, Laura Henninger, and his nieces, Jessica and Samantha West, who continue to carry forward the family’s bond and memories.

Fred’s passing marks the loss of a remarkable man whose wholehearted dedication to family and life’s simple joys leaves an enduring imprint on those who knew him. He will be remembered with great respect and affection by all who had the privilege of sharing in his life.
