Emily Elisabeth (Camburn) Reed, passed away on July 10, 2026, in Junction City, Kansas, at the age of 25. Born in Sacramento, California, on January 16, 2001, Emily’s life was filled with purpose, love, and a vibrant spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Emily was a 2019 graduate of Eagle River High School. Her educational experiences in Alaska became a cherished foundation for the adventurous life that would later define her. After moving to Anchorage, her journey led her to meet Zachary Reed while he was stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER). They wed on January 25, 2021, beginning their life together in Anchorage, surrounded by the awe-inspiring beauty of Alaska. The joy of their marriage was soon multiplied by the arrival of their two daughters, Hadley and Hayden—her greatest pride and, as Emily called them, “her queens.” Her love for her girls was evident in everything she did, from thoughtful crafts to outdoor adventures and the treasured photographs that fill the family’s albums.

Emily’s life was defined by her warm, beautiful, and vibrant personality. Those who knew her best describe her as funny, adventurous, and always a joy to be around. Her welcoming and kind heart provided comfort and laughter to her family and friends, while her loving nature made her a devoted mother and beloved aunt. Ever playful, Emily’s sense of humor was legendary; she delighted in playing pranks on her loved ones and making everyone around her laugh.

Always brimming with creativity, Emily found happiness in crafting, especially jewelry making and using her Cricut machine. She decorated her home to be as welcoming as her nature and adorned her Jeep with stickers that she collected from her numerous adventures. Emily delighted in cooking and baking, drawing her family together with delicious meals and sweet treats. A true enthusiast, she loved outdoor pursuits—fishing, camping, and sharing Alaska’s wild landscapes with her daughters. Shopping at Target and exploring new places, particularly Whittier, Alaska, brought Emily great joy, and she took pleasure in making memories during childhood camping, fishing, and shopping trips with her sisters and dad.

Professionally, Emily took immense pride in her role at Tri-West, where her helpfulness and exemplary performance were recognized and appreciated by her coworkers. Her dedication to serving others and being a reliable team member was a reflection of how she approached every aspect of her life.

Emily will be dearly missed by her husband, Zachary Reed, and their beloved daughters, Hadley and Hayden. She is also survived by her father, Terry Camburn; her mother, Christy Gallion; her sisters, Ashley (Oscar) Ayala, Cecily Sheats, and Sophie Gallion; her grandparents, Terry and Sandy Camburn, and Debra Morrow; her aunt, Kimberly Camburn; and her nieces, Stella Rose and Scarlet. She will be missed by a host of other extended family, as well as the family that embraced her as their daughter-in-law. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Emily is preceded in death by her grandfather, John Gallion, her great-grandmother, Bessie Smittle, as well as her beloved pup Mr. Poop (Titan).

A life lived with warmth, kindness, and adventure, Emily leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and cherished memories. Her family and friends will forever remember her joy for life, generosity, and unending devotion to those she loved.
