Elden Sailas

Elden Sailas, affectionately known as "Uncle Lele," passed away on November 1, 2025, at the age of 48. Born on October 15, 1977, in Pohnpei, Micronesia, Elden was a beloved family man whose spirit and warmth touched the lives of many around him. He possessed an ability to bring joy and laughter with his charmingly ornery personality, often managing to delight while playfully irritating those he loved.

Elden's unwavering commitment to family and community defined his character. He was selfless, humble, and kind, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer support to those in need. His legacy is particularly bright in the eyes of his soulmate, Adelina Charley, whom he met in October of 2001. The bond they shared was a testament to their deep connection and love, creating a partnership that flourished throughout the years. Together, they welcomed a son, Dennis Sailas, who became Elden's proudest accomplishment and the center of his world.

Elden's passions reflected his vibrant spirit. He was known as a grill master, taking immense joy in cooking for family gatherings and festive occasions. Fishing provided him solace and joy, while his love for singing and yelling often filled the air with laughter and celebration, bringing life to every event he attended. He was an avid volleyball player in his youth.

He is survived by his two sisters, Julie Solomon and Sunia Solomon, and his brother, Youston Solomon. Elden shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews, who cherished their time with him. He was predeceased by his mother, Merihter Sailas, whose memory he carried fondly in his heart.

Those who knew Elden will remember him not just for his humor and kindness, but for the enduring love he bestowed upon his family and friends. His spirit will live on in the memories he created, the joy he spread, and the lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.
