Daryl Denoris McDaniel

Daryl Denoris McDaniel passed away on August 5, 2026 in Junction City, Kansas at the age of 40. He was born in Ozark, Alabama on October 1, 1985 to Syretha McDaniel.

Daryl attended various schools during military moves with his parents. He received his GED and his first job was in the retail food industry at Arbys. Since then he also worked at Lumunyon as a foundation repair installer and later at Manko WIndow Systems where he manufactured and installed many doors and windows in the Manhattan, Kansas area, most notably for the Picasso Art in Motion at the Museum of Art and Light. He also worked in construction and helped Mr. Dennis Bobbit cut trees.

Daryl was passionate about music. He created music that was heard statewide as well as internationally through ASCAP. Along with music, some other favorite hobbies of his were watching movies and sports with his friends and family. Daryl was very athletic and spent his free time doing backflips on a trampoline, playing basketball with the local kids, and running up trees on the sides of houses.

Daryl never met a stranger and was always willing to help others, especially his neighbors and family. He leaves behind his mother Syretha Goff, fathers Kevin Goff and Daryl Miley, daughter Azaylye Boysdos, sister Sharetta McDaniel, brother Curtis McDaniel, grandmother Helen Newsome, close friend Tasha Crawford and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and a mulititude of friends. 

Daryl was preceded in death by his sister Erica McDaniel, nephew Isaiah McDaniel, and his grandfather Willie James Curly.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026 from 5-7pm at Johnson & Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home, 203 N Washington St, Junction City, Kansas. At 6pm a prayer will be recited and family and friends will be encouraged to say a few words of remembrance at this time, limiting your remarks to 2 minutes.
