Darrell Colby Tucker, 35, of Fort Riley, departed this life on November 29th , 2013.
He was born December 19, 1977 to parents Willie Tucker and Rosemary White, at the Edwards Air Force Base in California.
Darrell was a good man, who loved his friends and family with all of his heart. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and was always there to help those in need. At a young age, Darrell already knew that he wanted to serve his country, and was a member of the Junior ROTC in High School. He went on to be a soldier in the United States Army. He was a hero, both to his country and to his family.
He is preceded in death by three grandparents; Charles Tucker, and Daniel and Bettejane McCarthy.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife Juliann Cook; his dear friend and the mother of his children, Dawn Tucker; and his two children Darrell Colby Tucker, Jr., and Trinity Nicole Tucker. He also leaves behind his loving parents; Father, Willie Tucker, Mother, Rosemary (McCarthy) White, and Step-Father, Eric White; a Grandmother, Addie Tucker; as well as three sisters and six brothers.
Darrell is also survived by a multitude of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and countless other loved ones, whose lives he touched while he was here.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Darrell's life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 14th, 2013 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington St. in Junction City, KS. Interment will follow at the Kansas Veteran's Cemetery at a later date.
