Cynthia Marie Hagerty, affectionately known as Cindy, was born on May 5, 1949, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She departed this life on November 12, 2025, in Junction City, Kansas, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories.
Cindy was a dedicated military spouse for 20 years and later embraced the role of a police officer's spouse for another 20 years. She was known for her friendly demeanor and her deep care for others, traits that endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
On June 18, 1971, Cindy married her beloved husband, John E. Hagerty, in Crystal, Minnesota. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. Cindy was immensely proud of her two daughters, Jennifer A. Wright and Katrina Halpain, whom she raised with devotion and grace. Her loyalty to her family was unwavering, and she delighted in watching her family grow, embracing each new addition joyfully. She cherished her grandsons, Devin Wright and Gage Wright, as well as her granddaughters, Caitlyn Halpain, Sierra Wright, Kellie Savage, and Nickitta Shelton. Furthermore, she took great pride in her several great-grandchildren.
Cindy had a passion for reading, crafting, and needlework, and she enjoyed antiquing and collecting porcelain dolls, among various trinkets. She cherished the fun-filled memories of road trips to Minnesota and Alaska to visit family. Additionally, she found joy in attending renaissance festivals and state fairs, creating a tapestry of experiences that her family will remember fondly.
She is survived by her husband, John E. Hagerty; her daughters, Jennifer A. Wright and Katrina Halpain; her grandsons, Devin Wright and Gage Wright; her granddaughters, Caitlyn Halpain, Sierra Wright, Kellie Savage, and Nickitta Shelton; her sisters, Debra Moulton and Pamela Moulton; and several great-grandchildren.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, James and Deloris Moulton, and her brother, Steve Moulton. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends who had the pleasure to know her.
Visitation will be held on November 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Johnson & Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home, located at 203 N Washington St, Junction City, KS 66441. A Rosary will follow from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
