CW4 Cameron E Davis
Cameron Davis was born on January 20, 1935 in Mason City, Nebraska to Clarence E Davis and Mary Edith Hogg. He was the third of three children (two sisters). After Cameron’s mother passed on 11 April 1941, his father remarried Martha Ellen Roberts, to which two children (sister and brother) were born. Cameron graduated from Mason City High School in 1952. He enlisted in the United States Army in March 1953 as an Infantry Paratrooper. While home on leave from Ft Bragg NC, he met Hetty Carol “Bobbi” Moore. They were married in Litchfield Nebraska on January 25, 1955. Cameron and Bobbi spent their Honeymoon traveling to Ft Bragg, North Carolina.
Cameron served for 30 years and two months in the Army and Air Force, retiring in 1983 at Ft Sheridan Illinois. Cameron served throughout the world including Iceland, Korea, Vietnam, North Carolina, Colorado, Florida, Alabama, Nebraska, Kansas, Illinois and Germany. As well as multiple exercises and Temporary Duty requirements.
During his service Cameron received the Parachutists badge, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Non Commissioned Officer Academy Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation and the Meritorious Unit Citation.
Cameron was a member of Union Lodge #7, Junction City Kansas, ISIS Shrine, York Rite, Scottish Rite, Royal Order of the Jesters, Junction City Shrine Club, Mini Wheels, Topless Travelers, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, the Warrant Officers Association and the Sons of the American Revolution.
He and Bobbi settled in Junction City Kansas where they lived for 42 years. Cameron and Bobbi raised three sons, all of whom joined in the family tradition of military service. Cameron is survived by his three sons and their wives: Charles and Sharon, Mark and Marti, Dan and Linda, five Grand Children and ten Great Grand Children.

SERVICES
A celebration of life will be held in memory of Cameron at 11am on May 8, 2026 at the First United Methodist Church, 804 N Jefferson St, Junction City, KS with Reverend Dirk Weiss officiating.
Following the memorial service, a graveside service with full military honors will be held at 1pm at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, 5181 Wildcat Creek Road Manhattan, Kansas.
