Brayden Zachary Sommer

Brayden Zachary Sommer of Chapman, Kansas passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at the age of 17. He was born March 3, 2009 in Ft. Lewis, Washington. Brayden attended Chapman High School.

Brayden is survived by his mother Amy, brother Christopher, father Kyle, step-father David Alsup, grandparents Brian and Patti Sedoris, along with numerous loving friends, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Brayden was a staple player for the Rural Center baseball team. He was a thoughtful and dedicated young man, on and off the field, often putting others before himself. 

A visitation to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 5-7pm at Johnson and Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home located at 203 N Washington St., Junction City, Kansas 66441. A eulogy will be read starting at 6:30pm.
