Andree (Andy) C. Pyle

Andree (Andy) C. Pyle, 81, of Manhattan, Kansas, passed away on May 26, 2025. Cremation has taken place and a family led memorial service will be held at a later date.

Andy was born at La Rochelle, France to Francis and Marguerite Turfin on February 22, 1944. She grew up with twelve siblings while living in France.

Being a military spouse she had many opportunities to travel around the world. Some of the few places includes, Germany, Pyrenees Mountains, Lourdes, and America to which she made her forever home. Andy raised three children while traveling, then gained an additional daughter when she married her second husband, Earl Pyle, which they were married for 40 years.

Andy loved people, more so serving people. This allowed her to find a career in the food service industry. This allowed her to meet many friends, she never seemed to meet a stranger. This ability of her's to engage with people led her to meet her life long friend, Maria Steffens. Their friendship lasted for over 30 years.

Andy's hobbies included crocheting, dancing with her loving husband, playing the slots at the casinos, and watching the hummingbirds.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Pyle; two children, Patricia (Michael Dean) Marguerite Sweeney of Independence, Kentucky and Marcia Pyle of Indiana; one daughter-in-law, Michelle Kaiser of Kentucky; eleven grandchildren, Megan, Alan, Erin, Matthew, Miles, Malinda, Christopher, Brandi, Sabrina, Christopher, Coty; twenty great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends.

Andy was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Frank Bruno Smith and Eric Eugene Smith.
